Exporting your Mind Map as PDF

The Ayoa web-app allows you to export your Mind Map as PDF so that you can print and share your creation with others.

 

This is currently not available on Mobile devices so please log into the web or desktop app to export your mind maps:

There are a few options available:


1. Export your whole Mind Map as a PDF image.


2. Export your whole Mind Map as a PDF text file outline.


3. Choose branches to export as a PDF text file outline.


4.  Export a single branch as a PDF image or PDF text file outline.

Exporting your Mind Map as a PDF Image


1. To export your Mind Map as an image first open the Mind Map of your choice.

2. Then click on the board options menu on the toolbar.

3. In the drop-down menu click 'Export'.

4. Choose 'PDF' from the export options and then 'PDF Image'.

5. Once confirmed you will be notified that the export has started. If required, you can stop the export using the Cancel option.

6. When complete, click on 'Open' to view the PDF in your web browser.

7. In the preview you can choose to save the image as PDF or print.

Exporting your Mind Map as a PDF Text Outline


There may be situations where you would prefer your Mind Map in a list view. Ayoa has the option to export your map as a PDF text outline. 


1. To export your Mind Map as a text document first open the Mind Map of your choice.

2. Then click on the board options menu on the toolbar.

3. In the drop down menu click 'Export'.

4. Choose "PDF' from the export options and then 'PDF text document'.

5. Once confirmed you will be notified that the export has started. If required, you can stop the export using the Cancel option.

6. When complete, click on 'Open' to view the PDF in your web browser.

7. In the preview you can choose to save the outline as a PDF or print.

Exporting your Specific Groups of Branches as a Text Outline


Some times you may not need to export the whole map as a text outline, instead you can select the branches you wish to export.


1. To select multiple branches, hold down CTRL/CMD then using the mouse or tracker pad, drag and select the branches you wish to export.

2. Click on the circles above each branch to confirm selection.

3.  Then on the blue pop-up menu, click on the 3-dot icon to Export the branches as an Outline.

4. Once the export is complete, click 'Open'.

5. The outline will open as PDF in a different window, you can then print or save the PDF.

Export Single Branches as an Image or Text Outline


You may wish to export single branches as an image or text outline for handouts during presentations or discussions.


1. Right-click on the branch to open the context menu.

2. Then choose 'Export'.

3. You can choose whether to export the branch as a PDF image or a PDF text outline.

4. Once the export is complete, click 'Open'.

5.The PDF will open in a different window where you can choose to print or save your PDF.
